Devil's Staircase by Rockburn Pinot Noir 750ml

The Devil's Staircase takes the willing down into the realm of decadence and bacchanalian delights. Here everything is pleasure, spiced up with a dash of naughtiness. The unrelenting environment tortures the vines whose twisted limbs produce wine worthy of absolution. These wines are sinfully succulent and devilishly good.

Dry River Chardonnay 750ml

Crushed shell, specifically reminiscent of green mussels. While some might say oyster shell, it's not quite that. Saline, yes. Sundried lime zest dances in the background. A reduction of coal dust, saffron, and Belgian spice promotes the essence of Craighall's stones, tightening the parameters and focusing the power for length rather than width. Precise. Crème brûlée, lemon honey, and yellow peach ripple across the palate, while pure acidity flows like a swift stream, elongating the palate and experience. White florals, particularly alyssum, make a delightful appearance. A hint of macadamia graces the finish, complemented by a refreshing green crunch and phenolic notes - like the delicate skin of a cucumber. A richness that is utterly moreish. In its infancy, you'll enjoy its electric acidity and moreish, long finish. With extended aging - up to 15 years - it will unlock even greater complexity and depth, rewarding your patience.

Dry River Pinot Noir 750ml

Botanical notes, umami, and hints of brown sugar and bran. With time, the young oak will integrate seamlessly, unveiling layers of cedar-like Canadian maple, savoury tobacco, walnut oil, and sage leaf. A spice box of depth and complexity awaits, echoing the essence of our earlier wines. The texture recalls our clay soils; while the minerality from stones may be subtle, it frames the wine's length and serves as the skeleton beneath the fruit. There's a grunt of dehydrated zest and a flourish of blossom flowers. Picture it in shades of blue rather than red - absolutely gorgeous. A true reflection of the spirit of Dry River's beginnings.

Elderton Wellington Grenache 750ml

From Elderton's Greenock vineyard on the Western Ridge of the Barossa Valley - this beautiful contoured block of Grenache was planted in 1969. Sandy loam over red clay with patches of ironstone throughout, the vines here are quite lean in terms of vigour as Elderton prune to low bud numbers. In the glass a brooding mix of aromas - sweet cherry and spice, with a touch of stalk; On the palate, juicy fruit with typical Greenock vineyard ironstone backing, dried sage and thyme with some red berry fruit and chalky tannin all swept up in a tightly woven ball of restrained power - juicy and bold in the mouth.
