This classic gisborne chardonnay is as big and buttery as their winemakers could get it. Made in the 'old school style' this wine expresses gisborne at its very best. This crisp & zingy sauvignon blanc is packed full of gooseberry and bright citrus aromas, and when you take a sip there is delicious citrus and herbaceous notes, with a lovely crisp acidity - just an explosion of flavour.

The nose is generous; red and black fruit aromas are perfectly balanced with strawberry, cassis, nutmeg, and cinnamon, with vanilla, and mocha from the wine's time in French oak, which also lends a sensation of sweetness on the midpalate. In the mouth it is balanced, with smooth tannins and rich flavours, with fresh fruit acidity and a classic dry finish.

Vibrant floral notes, savoury brown spice and earthy notes on top of a core of red cherry that flows through the aroma. On the palate, supple and layered, bright red cherry notes introduce the wine.
