The Akarua vineyard is a unique site, measuring 52 hectares, 34.5 of which planted with vines. The estate is tucked into the foothills of the mountains rising above Kawarua River upstream of Lack Dunstan, in the midst of a breathtaking landscape. Located in Bannockburn in the Central Otago region, the vineyard occupies three west-facing terraces and enjoys intense sun all year round. This outstanding terroir lends remarkable character to the Pinot Noir in a reflection of the spectacular mountains surrounding the estate. Floral and spicy, it has a nose of raspberries and blackcurrant, while the pallet derives of black cherry.

Since its founding in 1785, the House of Piper-Heidsieck has proven its innovative prowess in selecting and blending wines of exception. Cuvée Brut is an emblematic multi-vintage champagne, elaborated from a blend of more than 100 crus sourced from 3 grape varieties of Champagne. Cuvée Brut boasts a fresh, elegant and harmonious profile. Its nose offers delicate notes of pear, white peach, citrus and orange blossom. The palate also reveals aromas of toasted bread, fresh almonds and mint. Sublime as an aperitif, a champagne for every occasion.

Land that was once a high country sheep station is now a flourishing vineyard. Sheep and rabbits co-existed on the land for quite some time but the sheep couldn't keep up with the nocturnal activity of the rabbits, and in the end were driven off the land. Rabbits now run free on the vineyard and fuelled by high altitude Pinot Noir, some are reputed to be the size of ponies, but that's another story... The Rabbit Ranch Pinot Noir is made in a very soft, fruit forward, low tannin style - a wine to be savoured and supped, rather than an assault on the senses.

Classic, fresh seaside Chardonnay blended with a small portion from Elephant Hill's warmer inland vineyard adding richness. Racy and flavoursome with piercing citrus, underlying peachy ripe notes. Mouthwatering and concentrated, elegant and refined.

The grapes for Roaring Meg come from Mt Difficulty's Cromwell basin vineyards managed by their dedicated viticultural team. Roaring Meg Chardonnay features citrus floral notes, toasted brioche and a hint of cashew on the nose. Initially some classically rich Chardonnay fruit character on the palate, white stone fruit and toast notes which then picks up on the fresh and crisp finish. The wine finishes with refreshing grapefruit and lemon zest.

Ruby red in colour, this wine has a bouquet of savoury red berry fruit, black cherry and vanilla that combine with aromas of black forest berries, cloves and dark violets, finishing with soft stony notes. Dry on the palate with a core of fruit, savoury tannins give it a great texture. The oak influence is obvious with baking spices, brown sugar and smokiness. Expect this wine to improve further with careful cellaring over the next 7-10 years.

Ripe peach and melon layered with butterscotch and toasty oak notes. The palate is big, rich and full with great length and weight.

Intense mahogany in colour. Full of dried fruit flavours of raisins, figs, molasses, nuts, chocolate and very elegant sweet notes. On the palate it is complex, rich, velvety and very smooth with a long aftertaste.

Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Villages comes from the family-owned Duboeuf estate, famously known as the "King of Beaujolais." Made from Gamay grown on granite and sandy soils, it offers bright cherry colour, fresh berry aromas, and a smooth, harmonious palate. Best enjoyed slightly chilled at 14-16°C.

Red Label blends provide easy-drinking options offering fruit-driven flavours, soft, approachable palates and excellent value. Complex aromas of raisin and maple lead in to a rich, luscious palate of dried fruits, toasted nuts and hints of smooth chocolate. Extended barrel maturation in old oak provides soft, mellow flavours and classic aged fortified characters.

This is a rich full-bodied wine yet at the same time, remains in balanced across the palate with fine, elegant tannins – the hallmark of great Cabernet.
